Default MSD Question

Okay guys I have a question that I'm not sure about. I'm putting in a full MSD system into my 85, 302. That includes Coil, Distrib, 6A, wires, etc. My question is, where does the solenoid fit into the MSD system, and how should I wire it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i cant answer your question as i dont have any msd stuff, however i am curious to know why your switching to msd. Did you have an issue with stock stuff, or is it really that much better for a full msd system?

Default RE: MSD Question

im using a duraspark style accel (rebuilt ford) distributor with a 6AL and blaster 2 coil and everything was pretty cut and dry. it has nothing to do with the starter selenoid btw.

the system consists of the dizzy, the 6A (why are you getting the cheap box?) and the coil...... its simple.

lastly, if you havent purchased it yet - GET A CRANE SETUP!!!!! as an msd owner i can tell you that my next setup will be from crane.

I'm changing from an electronic advance to a vacuum advance system. I live in Canada and I can get the MSD for only slightly more than I can for the stock stuff--new. So I figured might as well.
