Default Verry Frustrated with Problem

Ok. so i finished installing my heads and intake. The car started but when it warms up it shuts of for no reason. this has happened to me a couple of times. Do any body know what would be the problem.

P.S. the car caught on fire and melted some wires. Everythings was put on new sensors to a painless harness.

Did you replace the ignition switch assy.?......

And you should also check the salt & pepper connectors for any connection problems.

it was doing the problem before the car caught on fire. There is a steady amount of voltage that goes through the switch.

maybe major vacuum leak causing surging idle? raise your idle and see if it keeps it alive a little longer

I had a similar problem like that. How old is your motor ( mileage-wise ) and did you ever replace the distributor?

It is the original motor 1989 with pleanty of miles, 302 stock with afr 185 and 1.6 rr (NEW) stock cam. new timing chain. When the car caught on fire the a lot of things melted including the distributor. Now it has all sensors new, new distributor, cables and wiring. I didnt tackle the part changing the burnt wiring, the guy that i take it to get it tunned did the job for me. I really didnt care because the insurance took care of the Damages.

im banking on the tfi module, its the rectangular peice on the distributor. even if this isnt the fix, a new tfi module compared to an old one is always nice, i felt a great difference with my new one.

There is pleanty of spark and fuel. the tfi module has been changed twice on the car.
the problem is that when the car warms up it suddenly decides to shut down for no reason. Everything electrical has been changed that controls the engine.
