RE: EGR
egr is located on the side of the throttle body towards the firewall. it is round and there is a square like sensor attached to the end of it with a plug going into it. I dont know if you should clean it or just get a new one. it works off of vacuum and there is a rubber pump wall that could be cracked. i would get a new one. i did.

RE: EGR
the egr valve is located on the back of your throttle boty spacer also known as egr plate... After you locate it there will be 2 nuts that hold the egr on studs... unbolt them and disconnect the vaccum line on the back and the wiring harness plugged into the back/bottom... After removing this from the car take carb cleaner and clean the ports and the plunger... You can also use some dry lube along with the carb cleaner on the plunger... Then bolt it back up, connect the harness, then connect the vaccum line back up and your done....
The egr is a domed shaped object just look behind the throttle body and spacer and you cant miss it...

RE: EGR
If you remove the smog pump, you can remove the EGR too right? Like the whole emissions system can be removed? Im going to be getting non emission 165's soon and I wanted to get rid of ALL the emissions stuff. Gonna swap out my catted x for a o/r x.

RE: EGR
Nope wont work.. The check engine light comes on when something in your emissions system is not working or is removed... You can just take the check engine light bulb out though...
ORIGINAL: Aliate X
Just plug it up maybe?

if im not mistaken the check engine light will come on if you remove the egr so might as well leave it
