There's not a thing wrong with it, it looks like a very nice piece but it is a box upper which is intended for higher rpms than your cam is going to be capable of going to. I think calling Comp is a great idea, I am a big fan of them. I went through all of this with my engine. I had a Trick Flow street heat intake and stage 1 cam in my 331 when I first put it together. On my 302 this was the ticket, I ran 12.50s all day long.I got the 331 put the same H/C/I on it and ran 12.50s. I changed the cam and upperintake and went 11.80s.

Yea that intake is for upper rpms thats why your losing a lot of down low torque, but you definitly need a bigger cam, that is whats holding you back the cam, that intake is fine especially if your revvin that 331 real high which most do.

I'm putting a xe282 hr in my 347 stroker and afr 185's.. I had this same set up on my 306 and ran 12.20's with a soft launch @112 mph...so hopefully the same combo with a 347 should 1 up my previous times
