Does the plug get so bad that you get a misfire?

Yes I would pull the pistons and check them out, its not a hard job if you have means of pulling the motor (and have an engine stand)

ya after a few days the plug becomes really black. You can feel the car skip a bit after a while. I put a spark plug fouler on for a little bit, and that would stop the oil from getting to the plug for a lot longer, and the plug would turn whitish and look like its running really lean. The fouled would just become completely black though.

yes it sounds like rings. you know there is more then one ring on it right? not to insult alot of people do not know. the oil rings need to flex a bit to scrape the oil back down as it brings the piston back down and flex back to move back up without scraping the oil up into the chamber

Well you know the next step now! BTW, you can pull the pistons from under the car after removing the pan, but I don't do that anymore after an accident lol. Engine removal isn't required though.

do you think though if the rings were bad in taht clyinder that id be able to ball hone the cylinders and change the rings. I really dont have enough time/money/or expierence to bore and buy all new pistons and whatnot. Mabey do the rod bearings and rings. What do you think?
