RE: Dead Battery after 2 days
one more thing....you are testing for a draw with the battery charged back up right??? cause if it's stone dead as a result of the drain..then of course it won't register anything

RE: Dead Battery after 2 days
all you do is remove the neg battery terminal and one lead goes to the cable and the other to the post and it should read something....that is of course you didn't blow the fuse in the multimeter for the amps..usually its a 10 amp fuse..and if the drain is greater than that it could of popped the fuse in the meter...I've done that before on my milliamp function that's why I always set the meter to amps...test the meter by starting the car and turning all accessories and lights on and check current flow with your multimeter on the alt charge wire if you still get nothing then you may have popped the fuse if your drain is excessive.....but I've never popped the amp one

You have a big parasitic drain in there. Leave the meter connected and start disconnecting fuses to see which circuit is causing the draw..... suggest to start with disconnecting the alternator, and then the interior lights fuses..... is the dome light on?.... FYI......this is the way you should have the meter connected.

I disconnect all the fuses and no change 3.7Amps - 4.1Amps. I did find 1 blown fuse (number 1 fuse) so I replaced it, but I was still seeing the high amperage. Then I disconnected the Alternator and now I'm getting 0.20Amps or 20mAmps. What does this mean?

RE: Dead Battery after 2 days
there is an internal short in the alt......if that removed the draw ..replace the alt and see what happens 20 milliamps is within the spec norm of 25 to 50 milliamp max draw at rest
