i need to pull off my upper intake on my 87 5.0L to check for vacuum leaks underneath. is there a reusable gasket on the upper intake stock?? if not, will i need a new gasket to get it to seal right??

you dont need to pull off the intake to check for vacuum leaks, you start the car and spray carb cleaner on all the hose ends and on the seem where the upper to lower intake meet and you listen for the idle to increase where your spraying if it does that that is where your leak(s) will be, the gaskets are inexpensive and if that is where it is leaking you will need a new one.

throttle body spacer?? that's the only spacer i know of up there lol. i dunno what it does or any of that, but i've seen it on these forums. should i go ahead and get a bigger throttle body and all that too?? i'm not building this engine for a year, should i go ahead and mod it some??
