Default Fuel Pump Whine Normal?

I just got ,my mustang out of storage for the winter. I just bought it right before winter so Im not used to all the different noises and quirks yet. I notice a relatively loud high pitched mechanical whine that i believe is coing from the fuel pump. Is this normal? I did let the car warm up for a while but the noise continues.

I agree. Most of the time they start to whine when they are going out.

My fuel pump always made noise. I installed a new one after many years and that did the same thing. I hear a lot of Fords doing that. I don't think it means anything and I wouldn't worry about.

Yep...My 91 doesn't make a sound, but my bro's 88 whines, both cars run great. Doesn't seem like it is going out.

mine will do it when i turn the key over for a few seconds but then stop. I wish my wife would only whine for a few seconds in the morning then go away.
