Default re-ring engine kits at autozone.....

Whats your take on some of these kits at summit?

http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...=KeywordSearch

Im confused on the kit though, does it come with all the rings needed for each piston to do every piston?

well what do you want?? economy??? or performance?? you'll get what you pay for.....I always use brand name stuff like federal mogul/sealed power rings.. usually moly rings and they seat quick and well......

The kit will be complete to do all eight pistons..that's why it's listed as a complete kit....that kit will work fine for you to perform a complete overhaul if no machine work is needed...personally I'd pull motor apart and inspect the cylinder walls for a excessive ridge at the top which will indicate worn/ possible tapered cylinders before purchasing a overhaul kit cause if the block needs boring..then you'll have to send the standard kit back and get a kit with oversized parts

+1 for federal mogul.

northernautoparts.com has REALLY cheap rebuild kits, and you can upgrade a few key items and still be in a complete kit for dirt cheap.

btw mjr, regular ol' cast rings seat quicker than moly
