WIRES EVERYWHERE!!!
Hey everyone. Im in the process of installing an autopage alarm. I need to find the wires that control the lock/ unlock. I need the ones that run between the master switch and slave switch and before the lock motor. Im not an expert but i can figure it out. ALL i need is a push in the right direction. Its on an 88 gt hatch. I got lost in the wiring diagram in one of my books.
If anyone out there knows please help.
THANKS

RE: WIRES EVERYWHERE!!!
Youshould be able toaccess the wires under the left side of the dash or behind the kick panel.
The wires that go to the lock motors are:Pink/Black and Pink/Orange.
The wires that go between switches:Pink/Lt.Green and Pink/Yellow, there is also a Black/white wire that is the power feed to the switches.

RE: WIRES EVERYWHERE!!!
man the lock wires on those are not fun. They come out of the door jam and go straight to the top of the dash. You can access them behind the dash speakers normally but that will only be half of the problem. Finding the correct pink/yellow and pink/green wires is generally made more difficult by the fact that the indicators(the stripes) like to wear off easily.... The last 3 fox bodies I did left me cursing at the wires for a little while, while trying to properly diagnose the master switch to insert the relays correctly(putting them in bachwards will fry the lock module, trust me). I have been doing security for over 10 yrs and 5 wire fox bodies are never fun....... I'll try to keep an eye on this to help but check us out at the audio/video section.

RE: WIRES EVERYWHERE!!!
right, they are in there and then turn up to the top? There is just not much room to work with and make the 4 connections needed. They should both remain at ground until you lock or unlock and then they should pulse to +12 for as long as you hold the switch. Now cut one of the wires(where you can make connections) and one switch should loose all control(the master switch should be the drivers side) and the slave switch will only have one side working. Make sure to make the connections to the master and slave correctly or you will pop(literally trust me) the lock module.

RE: WIRES EVERYWHERE!!!
door trigger is black/blue stripein either kick panel. reads 12v+ when door is open and ground when closed. park light wire is brown and shoule be able to get in drivers kick panel to. ive done 100's of these cars and know them by heart, best place to get door locks is to pull drivers dash speaker and pull the wires out from behind the insulation.if you have any other questions let me know. oh, if you have trunk release it will be purple/yellow stripe and is 12v+ and is also in drivers kickpanel
