will this fit (transmission)

will this 1983 f-150 aod fit in place of my current aod transmission ? thanks but I am really looking for something as mine is nearly out.

I think that truck and van tranny'shave alonger tail housing than Mustang tranny.

thank you, I figured there were a difference but I was hoping not. desperate right now. forward gears are shot now.

The bellhousing should be the same if it came from a 302/351, you should measure the length and compare.
I bet someone on here has an AOD laying around with all the auto to manual conversions....

thanks, I picked one up today, actually got it delivered to me. alittle more than i wanted to pay but I have it :-) just need to put it in the car now.
