i bought my car with a broken tach so i never knew what RPM my engine ran out. Tachs are a must for any car.

i bought a 5" tach Autogage because it was a great deal (ebay).

I saw the dashpod thing, does it look cheap and flimsy? or does it go well with the car? I really dont like the sight of a tach sitting there on the dashboard.

so get a smaller one and use some hose clamps to strap it down on top of the steering column where you can see it easily.
a good accurate tach is a very useful tool to have on any engine.

A alternative is a shift light. They're small and look pretty nice. I have one in my car and i like it a lot.
