advice wanted (repainting my foxbody gt)
Just wondering if I should remove my ground effects on my GT when I have it repainted. The bottom of my car is rust free from what I can see but I have no idea what the metal looks like under the ground effects.I want to take off the rear scoops because I have some tiny rocks that are wedgedin the small crack just behind the door. How long would it take to remove them and how hard are they toput back on?I've seen a few pictures of cars with crooked moldings, the spot where some people add a stripe. Mine are straight now so I'm thinking I should leave them on.

if you are having the paint redone you can get the shop to do that for you and let it be their problem so if it is crooked they have to fix it not you. but if you are doing it, id say try to get to the rocks as it sits now but if you cant, try to remove. im not sure if it is just glued on or if it is glue and anchors. look under and see if there is anything anchoring it on. if not it should be just a body glue.
btw.. are you keeping it black?

I just looked at your ride.
The metal strip that holds the groung effects on is rusted and broken.
Remove the ground effects and throw it in the car.
Buy those strips and have the shop rivet them on for you
