Default Misfiring

Ok, so when I first bought my car on july 14th it had a slight miss at high rpms. I changed the plugs and everything was good. No miss at all and running just really smooth.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled friday and my car sat for 3 days straight. I don't remember it having a miss before, but it might've started a few days before. I took it on a drive to Macon which is about 30 minutes away andI noticed a miss. Over the past 2 days it seems to have gotten a littleworse. It misses when I hold it at a constant RPM or under accleration, doesn't really matter where at in the RPMs.

Any ideas what to change first? I'd rather not spend money on stuff that won't fix the problem since I do have a limited budget.
If it makes any difference the plugs were changed in november and the exhaust hasn't everbeendiscolored or had a weird smell.

I would try replacing the pick up inside the distributor and check for codes/cyl balance test

check the wires and make sure they are routed correctly and not crossed causing a crossfire miss...also make sure none fell on a header and got burnt..just cause they are relatively new..a cheap cap and rotor may be the culprit....lightly mist the wires and around the coil with a water bottle and look for arcing....electricity travels a path of least resistance to ground and weak ignition components will be amplified by the arc jumping out when misted with water

Check the terminals inside of the distributor cap, they may be corroded.

It happened to my car with a 1 year old cap and rotor. They were Motorcraft parts.
I couldn't believe all the crap that was growing on the terminals inside the cap.
I put a new cap and rotor on and my misfire was gone.
