throw out bearing
how fast can a throw out bearing go out in? I installed a new tranny and clutch in my car along with bearing, and have only ran the car 5 days and am curious can the bearing be bad already???? i get a whine and petal noise?

i dont know the answer to your question but i would also like to know. i know that mine has been whining for almost two years of hard driving and occasional trips to the track. so i guess they can whine for a long time

Sometime's the TO bearings can be hit or miss. I've read of situations similar to yours. I guess i've been lucky, i've never had the problem on a new install. They will go for a long time like that in some situations. Can you put your foot on pedal and the noise stop?
