speedometer gear question.

Default speedometer gear question.

My 1987 mustang has a unknown year c4 tranny in it, with 3.55 gears. is it safe to asume the driven gear in the tranny is 7 tooth, so i need to order a 20 tooth cable gear?

Dont know that i can help but you need info so you dont get the wrong gear.


DRIVEN GEAR: located on the end of speedo cable. can be (13 through 34) tooth

yea i know some of you will say no way with my# of teeth. {these are the # I foud tring tofind one for my stang. >>>> there may be more but these I have seen>

DRIVE GEAR: located inside the trany on the main shaft. can be ( 6 7 8 9 ) tooth
