Default cold air intake

i just got my BBK cold air intake fenderwell kit installed and nwo theres a new noise coming from that area that i can hear from the inside of the car is this normal?

did you make sure you tightend all of the bolts all the way? And another thing it might be, it might be the cold air tube coming out of the TB hitting the canister plate area. I know mine did that a little.

is it a sucking noise? that is the noise of the air in the filter. Mine lets out a big "huff" when I turn her off now too.....

i didnt install it because i had no way to get the air filter into the fenderwell so i took it up to a ford dealership and they installed it for me.....ill go out and tighten the bolts and see if that helps ....its not anythign like a banging noise or anythign like that....i dont really know how to describe the soudn though

i guess sucking noise is a somewhat good description of it except its decently loud and is only when i have my foot on the gas when i take it off it will stop....mine doenst really make a huff...but there is a kind of gargling noise now after i shut it off?

my old v6's cai did that, make a whistle/whoose/sucking sound when i got on the gas, i just got a louder exhuast lol. i checked all my fitting and everything was tight, from what i have heard sometimes the air rushing through there makes noise on some peoples cars and not on others for no reason

yeah thats bassically exactly what it sounds like..i have a 95 GTS and luckily i do have a new exhaust system coming...a mac catback system then after that once i save up around another 90 ill be ording a set of pypes catted x pipes

I put mine right in the top, if the filter is too big you just reach your arm up there and put it on, that's how i did it the first time. Hope the dealership didn't charge you too much, they are usually a rip off.

$70...everyone else wanted at least 60 an hour but they didnt know how long it would take so i just went to ford....doesnt really matter though i made that muchtoday by doing stuff for my dads work so it wassnt a big deal
