Default couple of questions regarding clutch install?

1. do i have to put any sort of grease on the pilot bearing before install?
2. what kind of thread locker do i have to put on flywheel/driveshaft bolts?
3. how many flywheel dowel pins are there suppose to be?

Just put grease on the input shaft...the throwout will come greased.
Dont need threadlock it wont come loose if you tighten them.
I think there are 3 dowel pins for pressure plate..they are fixed I dont think they come out.....

we just used bearing grease on mine..umm yep 3 dowel pins..and depending on the type of flywheel..stock they might be fixed to it..but my buddy bought a billet steel one and they had to be put in..as for the thread locker...i spose its not mandatory..but we used...umm blue pretty sure like 90%....ya it was blue

YOU MUST USE A SEALER ON THE FLYWHEEL BOLTS!!!

The holes in the end of the crank that the flywheel bolts thread into go all the way through to the crankcase. If you don't believe me, once you get the flywheel off, put a small screwdriver in one of the holes and it will go all the way through.

If you don't use sealer on the bolts, over time, oil will leak out from around the bolt heads. Many people don't use sealer on those bolts and then think it's a bad rear main seal that's leaking.

I always use medium strength (blue) Loctite... never had a problem.

My flywheel came with dowel pins, but the pins are VERY difficult to hammer on and stick. My buddy is telling me i dont need to pins... What do yall think??
