stock push rod length is 6.250 but depending on the manufactorer..I've seen ford racing list stock as 6.272 and buy the shim kit to be safe..you may use some you may not..I did a valve job so I needed them

Pushrods are the last item you should buy after checking what the setup requires. You need to measure what length will provide the best valve train geometry/narrow contact pattern on the valves stem using a pair of adjustable pushrods. For the springs, you could also drop Thumper of Orange Park an email asking for the drop-in valve spring sets he has for the GT40p's. Just a thought.

RE: valvetrain / cam help
It's not mandatory to convert your heads to studs to run roller rockers. I run pedistal mounted roller rockers on my P heads. Crane makes a conversion kit to allow the use of roller rockers on a pedistal type head, with no machining needed. I did have to return my Scorpion rockers and exchange them for Crane Energizers, because the Scorpions would hit each other using the pedistal conversion. I wouldn't run these much past 6500rpm (mine are on a 351W in a 4X4 truck), but I'vehad zeroissues with the conversion in 2 years, running a 270H cam.
