Default AOD Question

89 LX, AOD with 4.10 gears. If i have it floored and basically redlined in 3rd around 100mph is it suppose to shift into overdrive. Its not shifting and i really would like it to or am i being to nervous and letting off the gas to soon. I have tried to do a little speed run a couple times on the highway and i run out of gear so fast in 3rd. Any help please, thx

no it wont. you need your valve body modified so you can run in over drive. i did it and i was only able to max out 3rd at 105 with 410s. problem is od bands arent ment to drive in hard. i did and fried a tranny. youll need a strong tranny to run hard in od with gears. that is why having 410s isnt hte best always.
