Can i just change the gear in the speedometer cable to calibrate running 3.73 rear gears,Or do i have to change the one one the tranny(t5) and the cable gear? Ive already read the 5.0 mag artical, but would like some experienced feed back .And where do i getthese gears?Thanks

as far as i have ever seen, u can only buy a gear to calibrate correctly for a 3.55 gear.. after that there just close..i have a 3.73 rear gear, t5, and stock speedo gear with some pos speedo calibrator..cant think of the brand at the moment. came from american muscle..and im pretty sure its f'in up my car...idk it just doesnt run right with it hooked up or somethin...come spring its gettin unhooked n ill just put a 3.55 speedo gear in n call it close enuf

there was an article in 5.0 mag that had different color speedometer gears but i dont know where to get them or what colors worked best for the 3:73,s

if u goto like www.latemodelrestoration.com and find the speed correction section...n click on on of the speedo gears it should have a link that shows what it is to buy...if my memory serves..its like 21 tooth...and hmm maybe black?? idk i cant remember the color.but i think it was teh 21 tooth one...itll tell ya whatu need..or even just call them n tell them what ya go n they can set yaup over teh phone

i got 5 different speedo gears white black the original one i forget all of them but i got them on ebay for 20 bucks for all of them i have the card some where ill try and dig it up
