Default Possible car/engine problem!!!!! Help!!!

OK I've got an 89 GT 5.0 and over the summer i put in some e/l shorty headers and a custom x pipe with dumps---recently, every time i start the car it will stall out right away at idle unless i give it some gas- i rev it for a couple of minutes and then it'll idle fine/normal---but most recently, possibly weather related cause it's gotten very cold in Lanc, PA, while i'm drivin in 1st or 2nd gear it seems to start to almost "seize up"/shake and i hear some loud popping sounds from the rear of the car/exhaust---I've been able to just power it through it/give it some gas and it's ok---it doesn't seem too serious, almost like something's preventing it from getting fuel, but i've already replaced the fuel pump twice in ten years---a friend suggested getting some dry gas because there may be some water in the fuel line-- I haven't driven it more than 10 miles at a time recently so i don't know if it will quit on me completely, but i don't really want to try--- Any Suggestions?

try cleaning the MAF with the proper cleaner found at any parts store...after that clean the IAC MOTOR.....then if you still have probs check for vaccum leaks....but above all i'd run a koeo/koer test and make sure you don't have any codes

My car wen through the exact same thing after my exhaust change. It drove me nuts. I went step by step through the idle fix page and went over every nut and bolt on the exhaust system and that fixed it for me.
