Default Suspension help

Hey guys, looking to upgrade the 88GT with some suspension mods. Exhaust mods and gears are in the works. Not much of a suspension guy but know that I need some help keeping the rear tires hooked up from launch.

My question is, What are the differences in the various 70/30 shocks/struts I see on summitts website. One is $92.00 and the others are $42.00. What gives?

Also, Subframe connectors - is there a minimal thickness of metal needed to serve it's purpose. I like the one's at Blue Oval Industries for the price.

Looking for mostly street driving but want to open a can of whoop-*** when needed. Maybe occasional strip run.

Currents:
mild chip
K&N filter
Flowmaster 40's

Near future:
BBK shorties
BBK o/r X or H pipe
American Thunder exhaust
CAI
Sub frame connectors

get the subframe connectors for sure, they will help stiffen the chassis a lot which helps with traction and reducing body roll in turns.
then look at getting some new upper/lower rear control arms to stiffen up the rear suspension some more for better traction when it comes time to open up that can of whoop ***! and some 3.73 gears wouldn't hurt either, they will really wake up the car on the street.

go 70/30 if you drive on the street. 90/10's are crazy and shouldnt be on a street car IMO, but definetly go with some subframe connectors (30$) on ebay, conrtol arms (roughly 150) and them get some front springs from a 4 cyl fox body, get you some 4:10 gears and a really good tire, you will **** your pants at take off.

I wouldn't go with drag struts or shocks on a street driven car as they will compromise handling and braking. If you get adjustable ones where you can change the settings from strip to street, then they might be OK but stay away from 90/10 front struts on the street.
