need help with flywheel dowel pins real quick!
ok first time doind manual clutch job. i got my flywheel and mu dowel pins. where do i put the dowel pins they seem to slide right through the holes on the flywheel.

you should have to tap them in...are you sure you are using the correct holes???

They will be a tight fit. I put the dowels in the freezer overnight and put the flywheel in the oven for about 20 minutes @ 400 degrees.
Then tapped them right in.

Well, I just put a new clutch and fly wheel on my mustang and I couldnt get the dowl pins to go in for anything. So me and my friend didnt put them in. Should I take it all back out and put them in?

and they should be a tight fit, use a hammer and bash them in. theres no need to heat the flywheel, sometimes you need to hit stuf with a hammer to get it to fit.
