Default A/C and PS removal

Im looking to remove my ac from my 87 and possibly the power steering as well. Just wanted to see if anyone has done this, and if ill be able to get a drive belt that fits after the removal of both. Im a noob when it comes to this stuff. Thanks

yep its possible just gotta ge tht ecorrect belt size and remove them also make sure to remove the smog pump too unless you need it for testing

you can do that put if you eliminate the power steering you really need to install a manual rack too that has the correct ratio for manual steering or if you use the power steering rack as if it were manual..it'll be a bear to turn in stop and go city driving and in parking lots as well as parrallel parking...I'd buy a a/c eliminator kit and retain PS if it'll be a street car

ive been running a power rack without the pump on 5.0 i was fine with the setup till my motorcycle wreck i coulndt turn the wheel at all since i only had partial use of my right arm. so i broke down and fixed my power setup[:'(] ive been holding off till i could find a decent priced manual joint to put the manual rack. i think ill just get a new power rack and call it done[&o]

Yea its gonna be a street car, but I figure less equipment = less weight, less headaches. I have a 34 coupe with no power steering, and its a pain, but you do get used to it. Im only looking to remove the power steering because there seems to be a problem with it.

yeah remove your gonna need a rack from a early car say 79-81 mustang and a new coupler you can find decent price on the m/s coupling from www.mpssalvage.com on their ebay listings from time to time or you cna buy one new from them
