problem with my header bolt
alright I got the new header gasket installed got all the bolts inexcept for the 3rd one from thefirewall on the passenger side. When I attempted to put it in it kinda went in crooked for like a half a turn and I backed right off of it and then I got it in pretty straight about a third of the way and it will not turn anymore and it is pissing me off and I'm afraid of stripping out thebolt hole, any input would be very helpful!!!!

RE: problem with my header bolt
easy fix. i had the same problem with a bunch of header bolts on my bbk equals. i have a mirror on a handle which i can put down there and see the bolt hole...what i did was take a pry bar and had a friend wiggle the bar until the holes lined up...then all the bolts went in smooth.

RE: problem with my header bolt
well if you've cross threaded the hole by now...what you have to do is remove the bolt and run a tap through it to be safe..otherwise risk breaking it off then you'll have a real fun project on hand..right now the situation is salvagable

Make sure all the other bolts are loose or take them out and start the hardest bolt first.
