crappy cold idle
my idle fluctuates when the car is cold....ive tracked all vacuums all seem fine, new pcv, temp sensors, plugs, air filter, cleaned the iac, throttle body, ran fuel injector and fuel system cleaner, new fuel filter...would putting a new distributor cap and wires do anything?
once the car gets warm it seems to run great tho...i dont get it...

RE: crappy cold idle
If the parts are old it can't hurt.
Don't forget to replace the lower half of the cap.
I had a car that would intermittently not start. One day I noticed aspark was arcing through the lower cap. Changed it and never had a problem again.
Several people had worked on the car and changed everything but never changed the lower half of the cap. After that I always change the lower half when doing a tune up.

Not saying that's your problem, just a suggestion.
If your going to change the cap and rotor do the lower to.
I mentioned this because it seems nobody ever changes them.
If the cap/rotor terminals are all corroded/eroded it can cause a misfire.
Some other possible causes are, a leaking or inoperative injector, bad o-ring on the injector causing vacuum leak, and other sources of vacuum leaks.
Try temporarily plugging the line to your brake booster and the line that goes through the firewall. Also look for broken vacuum tree on the firewall.
