Push Rod measurement

Does anyone have a link on exactly how to accomplish push rod length check? Im ready to do the deed and im sure it isnt exactly the same as slapping on a rocker and setting valve lash.

Thanks Y'all

RE: Push Rod measurement

do you have a stock length pushrod or an adjustable pushrod to check? basically at the closed position the tip of the rocker arm should be slightly higher than the center of the valve and once open it should be slightly below the center of the valve. you can use a sharpie marker to draw a line on the tip of the valve to aid in seeing exactly where the rocker is making contact.

Sorry i guess i should have said i have a adjustable push rod length checker.

Is it really that simple. you just keep adjusting the length till the mark on the valve is dead center??
