Ok so Im going to get right to the point - Just picked up a fairly clean 4 banger and want to have a 306 in it within a few months...
And I need my hand held through this process.

Yes I know all about the search button so spare me with that... and yes ive done my research but the problem is I dont know enough about cars to know where to start.

I do know however that the basics i need are twisted wedge heads,track heat intake and a blower... but where do I go to pick up a 302 block?

Im trying to do this right way and I really dont want to skimp on any steps.

So whatya got for me?

you dont have to have trick flow heads...their nice heads but theres other great heads out there too..as well as the intake..and if all ur lookin for is a 306 then why do you need a blower??..or is it just something u wanna do is supercharge a 306...stock blocks can be found all over..junkyards..occasionally on here...at one point there were 3..one a complete 302..for sale in my town..and my towns only 1500 people..so just look around..for a 306..ull need a .30 overbore

I plan on throwing on a vortec by the summer

then build a motor right to handle boost..if it's stock rebuild I wouldn't throw more than 10-12 psi to it and start by pulling the motor in the 4 banger and look for a donor car/5.0 wrecked..it'll save you alot of time and trips to a parts store

ANYWHERE from 1500.00 to 6000.00.......depends on how much power you want N/A and what will the engine see in the future...your question is to general and broad.....you need to define your goal better
