that's what it is dude it is the same thing as the one on my brothers 289 looks the same ,you will be fine with the plug , If you think it will spoill the look send it back

it wont spoil the look, its only a oil pan. just wanna make sure it will fit good before i haul the engine out...

that hole in the side is for the low oil level sending unit that turns on the "low oil level" warning light. you can get a new sending unit or plug it either way it will work for you.

thanks roundy i didnt think it was the dipstick. do i need a new sending unit or can i use the one from my stock pan?

I hear that, It would be a wast if it did not fit , for your own peice of mind do a line up with the gasket befor you start the engin removal

Sorry dude did not want to give you the run around my mustang did not hav a oil level sensor and the pan I got for a nother motor does not have one either My ranger does have one dut I did not know mustang got the sensor my bad
