maybe it might smell like gas, cause ur missing cyclinder is not BURNING the gas and then pushing it into the exhuast.... just a guess ya know

Am I the only one that read " I first need to fix the misfire". Maybe you're not burning the gas and thats why your exhaust is so noxious.

Took off or replaced? Having bad cats is gonna give u same results as no cats. Only not as loud.

Only now ur bypassing smog equipment too.

yea well i found i that the balancer went bad so i replaced that last night. still the car is f'ed up. and then when i got home and shut it off the f'in fuel pump stayed running. i dont know why thats happening now. but im going to start with the basics again - cap, rotor, plugs, wires, (maybe not the wires yet they look ok but well see.) and see what happens. also when i try to time the engine i drop the dist. in on tdc on compression stroke of cyl. #1, start it up and with my timing light my #'s on the balancer are so far off im all the way at past the #'s on the BTDC side (i forget the exact letters, but its not on the atc side. im so pissed with this car.
