You're still forgetting about install, and engine work, just go to www.haneymotorsports.com and get one of their 331/347 assembled blocks, much cheaper in the long run.

Well, about the work part of it, I can and will do all of that. I am a mechanic by profession so the work will be no big deal, and stilll not much more than just bulding the engine back as a stock bottem end. It would only cost me about $4 -$5 hundred dollars to do it now, and its a lot of work to just keep taking the engine in and out. Im just thinking that might as well go ahead and do it now while its out so that I can save myself some work. But the only thing Im going to have the machine shop do is hot tank it and install cam bearings b-c I dont have the tool for it at home. I can do everything else.
