Im building my project car and I got it running but I cant get the fuel pressure to adjust. It started out with 80 psi of fuel pressure and then I changed the fuel pressure regulator to a new one and its still the same then I changed the fuel pump back to the stock one and it went down to bounce around 45 psi and i can turn the adjustment screw in and out and it doesnt do anything. I also changed the fuel pump relay also and that had no effect on the problem either.

I would try a different gauge first, if 2 different regulators read the same fuel pressure, there might be something blocking the return line, you could try disconnecting the lines from the rails and the tank and blowing compressed air through them to get the junk out.

where is your gauge mounted??? try a new one if that doesn't fix it tap into the test port on the rail with a fuel pressure test gauge and see what pressure is if it indicates a problem..look for a restriction/kinked tube on the return side of the system
