ok ive been driving my car total of 30 miles a day the past few days. it has a horrible missfire, it doesnt stay running, and i just replaced the balancer cuz it was shifted. i put the new one on and tried to time it but it was so far out to the btc side it was past those letters. but thats the only way i could get it to idle. how bad is it to drive with a miss (its a very bad one)

a severe misfire is catalyst damaging..if you have no cats then no worry but if you have a misfire because of improper timing and it is retarded to far you could burn a piston or a valve..either way you really need to fix the issue cause depending on the serverity it may cause other probs

Is the balancer onright. It shouldnt be out that much.
