also the air moves so fast through the tubes, it doesnt have enough time to heat up alot with plastic or metal. i drive up a mountain for 45 minutes to work givvin it hell, i can get out and the intake is not hot at all, barely warm. even with the radiator pipe not 4 inches away. if you are really worried use some insulation on the pipes. also check out the ram air systems, they dont cost much more and give you cheap forced induction.

i got the mac fender wall kit, i noticed a little increase in power. All the air going through the tube sounds pretty cool.

This is all good info. I'm from Pennsylania, so I definitely don't have to worry about the Florida heat.

one thing about cold air is, if you get water in it, you blow a rod....that costs a crap load of money to fix, for 300 bucks that doesnt sound worth it, ram air is excatly the same, but wont blow any rods like cold air....

well on the newer ones atleast it was like that, i did some research and alot of the companies are doing stuff to restrict the amount of water gets sucked up by the cold air because they were getting reports of water, but my mistake you need alot of water...sorry before it can cause you to blow a rod, sorry guys

Yes but is it worth taking out my short ram for a new CAI unit, or should I just try and buy an elbow to make it look better and flow better
