heads
i have the edelbrock performer rpm with the 1.90 intake and 1.6 ex and 60cc combustion chamber. basically should i sell these heads for around 700$ and come up with the extra money for a set of bigger heads for my 306. or should i stay with these.

RE: heads
yea i got mine to go 13.4 with it being hot. i want to eventually go turbo but ill settle for 10.5 to 1 for compression and fuel injection instead of the carb! and down the road i can turbo that and easily push 500.

RE: heads
im in the school of thinking that says if you had stock stuff i'd buy better than those - but if i started with the heads you have i couldnt see myself spending even more for better unless i was racing competitively.
for street play, your fine.

RE: heads
what exactly are your plans ?
those heads are fine for dipping in to the 10's even
will your new pistons allow a 2.02 head ?
i'm not even using the rpm's , just the performer 5.0's , w/ heavy port work
the bigger valved heads will not necessarily be better for you
the smaller valve heads w/ some moderate port work will get better results imo, unless your looking to get real serious
if mid 11's are acceptable....keep what you got, get a comp valve job, deck them a bit to get 10:1 (more if your going NA) concentrate on the exhaust ports and and matching mating surfaces. a lot of wierd things going on where you meet the head to the intake etc.
