i need help with my fuel pump.

hey what up? i got a 1986 lx mustang. and my car has been sitting for awhile. i went out there and i notice im not hearing the pump. i push the reset in the back of the car. what an easy way to test the fuel pump?

Bang on the bottom of the tank while someone cranks it. If it fires up, you know that's the problem. If it doesn't, it could still be the problem but if it starts, you rule out any other possibilities.
