just get the gt40s and do some port work on the exhaust side, you will make some excellent streetable power and torque. these guys that are dissin them have probably never run them on their car-especially in ported and milled form.

I have GT40Ps on my 358W, and it runs great. It is in an F150 4X4 though, not a drag car. It accelerates great, and will scald my37 inch tires from a dead stop. The late model 351s came with the same heads as the 302, so they will definately be an upgrade. They make way better torque than the stock heads.Nothing wrong with them if you're on a budget, and yes, you will have to drill them for 1/2" head bolts. Other than that, they are bolt ons.

patriot heads are junk. they have a lot of casting problems. they almost need machine work out of the box. look for a real techy site and you will see what i mean

find a thread by ed curtis and you will see exactly why they are junk out of the box

yeah i dunno what to think about that thread, as one person showed pics of heads that looked like *** and another shows heads that looked perfectly fine. both were supposed to be new as purchased, but one set was "ported" already and that was the crappy pair IIRC
