new headlights ? UPDATE W/ PICS
i just got my new head lights from 50resto. they are the stock looking ones and i just wanted to know if you guys think i should drill holes in the bottom because one of my stock ones always had water in it and if so is there a particular place that i should drill the holes. thanks!

RE: new headlights ?
If they start to fog up then send them back. Most aftermarket ones have a line of silicone on where the 2 peices of the headlight (lens and rear housing) connect with addition to the newer tighter weatherstripping. I wouldnt worry about them fogging up!

RE: new headlights ?
It's not only them fogging up that I am worried about. The driver's side stock original would get condensation and/or pure water inside the lenses and it would sit within the headlight itself, eventually popping the light bulb if I happened to use it that night due to the bulb being hot. Any way I could keep water from building up inside the lenses? I can literally see the water line as if it were a fish bowl sometimes. Have aftermarket headlights taken care of this problem? Stockers are being replaced tomorrow.

RE: new headlights ?
if the new ones leak set them on a wet piece of cardboard and bake them in the oven for a very short time to allow the silicone to get sticky, firmly press the lense and the back of the headlight together to seal them together and allow to cool, but new headlights shouldnt have a problem

RE: new headlights ?
Here are some pics I took of the installation for those interested in doing this little project. Don't mind the broken side and bent fender, some jerkoff decided to slam into me and run away.

After:
All that is left is to adjust the bulb angle, they point downwards a little too much. The job was pretty easy. Only tools required was a 7/16 wrench and a screwdriver. Took about an hour total, to remove the old headlights, clean up the housings and install the new headlights. I was surprised on how much better visibility was when I tried them out at night. I'd recommend these to anyone with faded stockers.

That will take care of the problem (water leakage) instead of just putting a bandaid.
