i was thinking about doing a flat silver/grey. Any other recommendations on colors or anyone have pics of theres?

Be sure you test it before you take it. I bought the Dupli color 1200 degree. The color was flat gray but when I sprayed ... It is holding up nicely.

I actually bought the paint to paint the valve covers. Since the Valve covers doesn't bring preformance to the engine, why change it? After I had painted them and had paint left I decided to clean/sand/paint the headers. That's what they look like. I'm going to be changing them anyway.

An alterative is ceramic coating. Just take them to any powerder coater and they will most likely do ceramic coating as well. Durable finish, and keeps the heat in.

That pic was taken early December 2007. So it's been about 4 weeks.

I used VHT Flameproof Flat Alumium (their flameproof colors are all flat) Here's how it looks, and after about 2500 miles it still looks the same. One thing i noticed about the Duplicolor paint I used is it was nice and shiney at first but dulled after it was introduced to heat.

VHT paint is also a ceramic coating.
