Default Can I just yank my A/C?

my a/c has a bad leak somewhere and doesnt hold pressure at all, which is fine since i dont ever use it. im wondering if i can just rip it out? do i need a shorter belt, or should i just rip everything out except for the pump and keep it there? idk- i just want it gone. but it needs to be smog legal.

the BEST way to do it, is the $50 kit from motorsport

2 small brackets and then you move your PS pump up to where the ac was.

it makes it just like the car came from the factory w/ ac delete , and keeps the pulleys nice

whatever you do you'll need a nother belt, unless you put an idler pulley in it's place

you can just remove it all and leave the compressor there for now..that's what I did but if you want the clean look then order a a/c eliminator kit

Go to your local parts store and order a ac compressor bypass. Use the same belt and just bolt this piece in place of the ac

has nothing to do with emissions. but you'd have trouble trying to get the evaporator out if you wanted to take everything out

i thought i read somewhere that the smog pump was deleted in the process, maybe i read it wrong. i plan on ripping it all out when i tear my engine apart, so access *should* be easier, right?

btw thank yall, ill look into the kit.
