Default tranny help

i have a 1995 5.0 and im replacing the tranny on it because the old one is shot. Its an AODE tranny. How long would a job like this take and do i need any special tools for it?

shouldnt really be any special tools ...sockets..wrenchs ...we had my aode out in a couple hours working over a pit...on ground may be longer/harder...should be a good saturday project.....not that long tho...what ever u do tho...make sure u dont strip and of the nuts that hold the torque converter to the flexplate...done two now and the same exact bolt idk whether its the location or what..but it rounded off on both of them...so make sure the sockets tight on the nut...and try ur hardest to not round it off...

well i have a whole lift that might be available to me with a transmission jack as well.. but right now it is looking that i am going to have to do it with jacks and jack stands.. i was originally thinking maybe 2 days.. so hopefully i can pump it all out in one day. thanks

if you've got a lift and never done one before ..I'd say it'll take you 6-8 hrs maybe a little more from start to finish
