Default smog pump uninstall

i got my parts for summitracing today and all for the smog pump delete kit with pully how do i loosen the belts

Yep, I believe I showed him how to route the belt to eliminate it, would have saved a lot of time and money... Oh well, I have no clue how to help you there buddy, never gone through that, but my guess is, WD-40, and a wrench...

no offense, but I never understood why people would buy the smog delete kits. It's so much cheaper to just buy a new "shorter" belt to spend whatever you spent. Plus you still have all the weight (not much, but still present) from all parts. I just removed all of equipment and lines... makes your engine bay look a lot better.

looks much cleaner w/o the lines,pump,etc... that your just bypassing. Just my opinion.

not trying to hijack this thread, but i have a question about the smog pump. it has been removed from my car and the main line going from the pump to firewall is gone also, but the collector box(i think thats what its called) is still in the car and has hoses going from it to a few other places. can all those be taken out also or are some needed?

Yeah I need to hijack this one too.....when you remove the smog pump and the lines, dont you need to plug up some stuff? I thought you plugged the lines, but id rather remove them.
