24 lbs injectors

RE: 24 lbs injectors
Correct me if I'm wrong, but won't the stock pressure regulator maintain the same fuel rail pressure whether using the stock pump, a 190 lph or 255 lph? As far as I knew, the regulator only controlled pressure, not flow. In other words, adding a larger pump does not in and of itself necessitate an adjustable regulator? FWIW, I have a Ford Racing GT-40 B-cam motor, Explorer intake, 24# injectors, 190 lph fuel pump, Accufab 70 mm TB, Pro-M 77mm MAF and an A9L computer and it works great with nothing more than the basic garage tune.

[edit] The GNX may not be the fastest car just stomping on the pedal while cruising, but wind 'em up and launch and they are quick! BTW, there is a nice on one Ebay right now at $90K, reserve not met.

You still won't have a chance.

There is a difference between an '87 GN and an '87 GNX.
He should be able to beat a regular GN with those modifications. A GNX would pull on him just a bit, if it is maintained properly.

RE: 24 lbs injectors
dont quote me but i think in 87 there was a version that was the GNX and it put out around 275 HP, and the regular Grand National had 245 HP and they didnt offer the GNX in the oter years. and i think i heard that the GNX was discontinued because it was to competitive with the Vette and they thought it would bring the Vette sales down.
