Default What are gt-40 power bands like?

Will gt-40 heads power band match up with the steeda #19's power band of 2300- 6000 that I am wanting to get.I want my setup to be gt-40 heads, steeda #19 cam, trick flow track heat manifold (1500-6500 power band), 70mm throttle body, 75mm maf calibrated for 24#ers, 24# injectors and a 75 wet shot. What do you guys think. I'm hopingto break into the 12's with possibly a little under 300hp without the shot.

Sounds like a pretty well planned out build. Don't forget a nice performance clutch, or TC with that.

Souns like a good setup. Just to answer your question though, my car is in the "zone" from 3-5k with the stock setup. The powerband has a lot to do with the cam though but if you you aren't going over 6k then you should be fine with the gt-40s.

the gt40s will be fine, just curious, why are you going with the trickflow over other intakes?

With my old H/C/I set-up of GT40/Explorer intake, milled & mildly worked GT40P heads with a Ford "Z" Cam I was shifting at 6800 rpm. You should see around 6300-6500 rpm with that set-up, not much more because of the rpm range of the cam. A set of slicks will put you well into the 12's though. I used to go 12.5's with my 92lx all day long on 26x9" slicks and 288rwhp.
