I was wondering what all I would need to put a C-4 in my 88 coupe . I have a complete trans from my old Torino it was rebuilt less than 3 years ago and my aod just went . Is there anything elseI would need or any thing id have to buy to make it work in a 88 coupe?

c-4 flex plate balance for 50 oz , tranny, torqur convertor and maybe a mount......reconfigure lines a little may need a adapter or two or none.....but it'll suck on the highway with no overdrive[&:]

not worried bout that I'm more worried bout linkage and what not I'm thinking bout using it on a efi motor

then you'll need a kick down cable for it..they sell them.any conversion place should have what you need like mustangs unlimited or cj pony parts

well its a 68 trans two piece i have everything can i just modify a kick down cable for it ?

first buy you a b&m shifter, cable kit comes with shifter hardware for transmission, locker dip stick & kick down cable, you will need the short c4 kick down lever..
are you sure its a 1968 modle? get the casting# off the side of it and check out my site...

lets start with which C-4 do you have big or small bell? you will need a shifter the aod shifter will not work right. you may need a new flex plate you may not. AOD flex works with a big bell C-4. is the dip stick in the pan or in the case. if its in the pan use the AOD flex if its in the case it could go both ways you may need the flex. can you post up some picks of the trans.?

heres the casting number and pics id like to keep the car FI . But if not i got a edelbrok intake and carb. I really wanna keep it simple just got outa the army dont have alot of cash .
castong number is D2ZP7006or8 couldnt make it outA then after that 75

well i had the touque converter fly wheel and all that off the hi-po the trans came off so i reused all that along with the 50 oz aod flywheel .
