Default how long do you have to wait

how long do you guys wait after you sealed a gasket to start the engine. the permatex says it takes 24 hours to cure but the haynes says to re-torque when the car is hot..what should i do?

by the time i have everything back together im filling the system with coolant and starting it up. never had a problem.

I always waited overnight.

Then torque after a few full heat cycles.

If you wait overnight you should be good to go. I've had issues 1/2 the time trying the put it together and go thing.

also, i've never had to retorque anything but ex gaskets. maybe im just lucky[&:]
