Default intake

If i add a GT-40 upper and lower intake on my stock motor and leave everything else stock, how much horsepower will i gain?

I did that to my stang a while back ago and gained quite a bit of power, later on down the road I added some BBK ceramic coated shorty headers to go with the intake and it came alive big time. I think the stock shortyheaders must have been holding it back. I'm guessing I picked up 20-25 horsepower between the Cobra intake and the shorty headers

i would say about 10-15hp tops. The intake isnt nearly as restrictive as the heads are. For the trouble might as well wait and do the h/c/i all at once.

i would agree with 5-10... your heads are too restrctive to allow the full flow of the intake.

about 5-7

airflow is not restricted at all until your making over 300 hp, so if you don'tNEED more air, more air won't do you any good. but it won't hurt either

if it's a tubular gt40 (real one) your looking at, it's worth the coin for looks alone

Wow, if that's what the 5-10 hp gain feels like from my Cobra intake swap then I can't imagine what a 75 shot would be likeMy car must be some kind of freakbecause I picked up a bunch of mid to top end power from the intake/header swap.

yup, since you prob had 160 hp to begin with.....10 hpWOULD feel like a lot

and yeah a 75 shot would get you down to the 15's
