Lol it would be like putting a supercharger on the car, only your losing top end. I have 4.10s sitting on my desk waiting to be installed. If you dont do much highway driving/dont mind cruising at the speed limit 3.73 or 4.10 gears would be an AWESOME upgrade.


Keep in mind though, on stock tires with 4.10s you will spin the tires a lot, it would be hard to get traction.

auto's were 3.08's too off set the performance from the 5-speed.....which were 2.73's...

Oh I guess I had it mixed up, well still, you would notice a bigger diff from doing the gears than any bolt on, and problem more than putting heads on the car.

no you both were right they can in 2.73's and 3.08's and could be ordered with about any gear upto 4.10's.....

when was that v......never knew that....3.27's,and maybe 3.55's was an option,but most were more concerned for mpg than performance.

STOCK GEARING IS 273 FOR BOTH T5 AND AOD. OPTIONAL IS 327 FOR AOD AND 308 FOR T5. we have said this over and over again.
