Default rebuilding the heads?

say i find a set of GT40P heads used, around how much should it cost to have them rebuilt, and how much HP would i gain with them?

with thoseheads alone you will probly gain between 25-40. itwould cost 150+ to rebuild themif you do it yourself.

depends on if the valves and seat need to be cut and or if it'l need valve guides...a machine shop would have to do all that and you'd have to put a decent set of springs on to match the cam you have..if it's stock then no worry there...very least..I'd check all the valves and seats and relap them if need be and replace the seals..and paint 'em blue and call 'em new!!!

a valve job and resurface should cost between 150-250 bucks, you'll get em back looking and performing like new. if you want a bigger cam you can drop off your springs when you bring the heads in. new springs are around 100 bucks for a rough ballpark.
